Inquiry for Design, Engineering,   Supply, Construction, Commissioning of a Mini Blast Furnace to be installed in India.

This is an inquiry for the supply, engineering, erection commissioning and operational support of a mini - Blast furnace to be installed in India  by my clients  who are well-known producers in secondary steel making in Andhra Pradesh.  

This inquiry is to make use of the services of experienced Design &Engineering organizations and manufacturers/ suppliers to locate a Blast Furnace of suitable capacity, of  128M3  to 360M3 

and

also another  BF of 12M3 or so for experimental purpose with high pressure use

The  MINI BLAST FURNACES  may be  identified and short listed  for procurement ,with complete details  like location of the plants, list of the equipments  with technical  & commercial   details  with CIF cost. Then subsequently the plant is to be re-erected commissioned and operated.

2.  Location of the project & area

The client has  located 35 acres of land near Bellary- Hospet area in Ananthpur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is near the Iron ore Mining area which is about 16-30 Kilometers from the project area and having sufficient ground water with a semi perennial small water stream located near by 5 km.  The 33 K.V.  Electricity sub station is around 10 km from the project   area. There are about  5-6 sponge Iron making plants  are being  commissioned  near by .There is an   existing   Mini blast furnace of  M/s Sathvhana Ispat Limited   located around 15 km distance for the land  area .

Regarding the raw material availability there are many Iron ore mines near by to the site. For coke, we have to depend upon Imported coke  and some indigenous coke oven plants in Gujrat state of India  and also at the coal mining areas of Dhanbad- Jharia belt where lot of small coke ovens are in operation. .Other fluxes like dolomite and limestone etc are available near by 150 km in Bethamcherla ,Kurnool & Shabad  area . The nearest sea ports are Chennai and Manglore ports which are around 450-500 km from the land area. We have good   road connectivity from two major metro cities of Hyderabad and Banglore which is around 360-380 km.

Mining Iron ore availability near Bellary Hospet is abundant.

4. The scope of work of this inquiry is   as follows:

1. To locate  the Chinese Blast Furnace plants or from  any other country  and asses the conditions of the plants   and technology, and asses the suitability for supply , dismantling re-erection and profitable operations in India.

2. To make a feasibility report and submit to us.

3. Supervise the dismantling activities at China/or the country concerned

4. To supervise the packing and forwarding such that no damages occur in transit

And  are available to us in India safely for our project

5. To ensure that all the drawings and documents necessary for the subsequent re-erection, operation and for the Maintenance of the blast furnaces and accessories are provided to us.

6.  To supervise the erection, re-erection, of the Blast furnace and connected facilities in India to ensure project completion in Toto.

7.  To suggest suitable vendors for the Indian supply, if any, are needed

8 .To preare project schedule/pert charts by using modern gadgets like primavera etc

9.To participate and assist in the Technical discussion and give technical recommendations

10. To assist in success fully commissioning of the Blast Furnace project

11. To provide team of engineers for the commissioning of blast furnace and ancillaries on man power basis.

12.  To provide civil and structural/erection and project   drawings where ever necessary for the Indian conditions and complete drawings and balance documents if,   any not available from China

13.  To suggest modifications if any needed in the project for the success full completion and operations and indigenous   the drawings and documents

14. To prepare specifications for standard equipment and drawings for non-standard technological structure etc needed for re erection to procure in indigenously

15 .To take care of site problems of technical nature, which may occur during re-erection

You may kindly locate any used Blast Furnace in China or else where and submit a technical specification of the complete works with ancillaries and facilities which can be re-usable and   brought to India after dismantling after refurbishing.

16. Please confirm that whether refurbishing is included in your scope and if so quote for the same also.

17 .To supply experts in operation and maintenance on man power basis.

18. To asses and provide the operational guarantee of the re erected blast Furnace in India
