We have several clients with an interest in building ethanol facilities to produce ethanol from sweet sorghum stems. Most of my clients interest lies in the 20-30 million gallon per year size. We believe, however, it will be prudent to limit the size of the first facility to 5 million gallons to more fully prove the concept. We would be willing, depending on the cost, to over-build certain components with the intention of expanding production in the future. A 5 million gallon plant will need to process about 3,800 tons per day for a 90 day harvest period. A 30 million gallon facility will need to process about 21,000 tons per hour for the same harvest period.
