Detailed Buying Lead Description
We are looking for a supplier of wood carvings in flat panels. These will be used as parts in the manufacture of furniture with carved decorations. We will need nautical scenes such as fishing boats pulling nets, ships in a storm, etc. These carvings are similar in style to Chinese carvings on furniture, but using more Western themes of the ocean, Western style boats, whaling, etc.
The carvings will be in flat panels in a form called bas relief. These will be in some detail, multileveled, but carved out of wood no more than 3/4" thick. The panels will very in size from 4" x 12" to 36" x 48".
