The satellite modem is an integrated solution for broadband

Internet over satellite. Downstream data is received from a

satellite and upstream data is sent over a wireless GPRS or

EDGE connection. Everything that is needed is integrated in

the satellite modem. The user only has to connect his computer

with a network cable and access a webpage in the modem to

get connected. The EDGE uplink makes a fixed telephone line

unnecessary. The easy product installation and the customized web based user interface make broadband Internet accessible to everybody!

The satellite modem is equipped with the software TelliNet, an embedded TCP/IP accelerator and transparent HTTP proxy. This enables higher throughput and lower latency. VPN tunnels can be used as an alternative to TelliNet where this is more appropriate.

The satellite modem can be used to connect an entire LAN to the Internet. All computers are automatically configured from the inbuilt DHCP server and a firewall protects the LAN from unsolicited Internet attacks.
