Blue Head Tequila is exceptional for a few reasons. It is 100% natural, contains 100% pure Blue Agave, and each bottle is 100% custom made for your pleasure. It all begins with the finest growing region in the world. In the land of Guadalajara, Mexico exists a region where the perfect combination of soil and climate allows sugar and acid to produce an agave plant unequaled elsewhere in the world. The Blue Head Tequila process begins with the careful cultivation of the agave plant. Mistakingly, many assume the agave plant is a form of cactus. It actually is part of the lily and amaryllis families, which is native to Mexico. The finest blue agave, grown in the highlands of Jalisco, is harvested for six to seven years until it reaches the peak of its sweetness, making it ripe to harvest. Tequila is only made from the sweet center of the agave, called the pina or heart. Precise harvesting follows and only the finest selection of pinas are slowly cooked in clay ovens. Natural fermentation and double distillation of the extracted juice is then transferred to the finest oak barrels, where it ages for varying lengths of time in our cellars. The wood infuses its natural color into the tequila, where no artificial coloring is needed. The finished product is then bottled on our Estate, and the rich unique taste reflects the care taken in each step. All Blue Head Tequila bottles are blown artesian glass that polished, signed, and numbered with an etched label all by hand. Our honor of tradition, combined with strict attention to detail and quality, has paved the way for the finest of all Tequilas.
