circular @ 2.5" diameter. It had about 5 stages of animation. It had a 5" long x 5/8" wide six-conductor ribbon. The 1.5" square module used
2 small (AG10) batteries and was originally switched with a standard paddle switch. One momentary activation of the switch caused the EL display animation to cycle for 5-6 seconds and then stop regardless of the state of the switch.
Ideally, the modules we'd want would have similar characteristics but with the following options.
Circular display shape is not necessary (i.e. a square panel in this size range would work just as well.) If there were flat connectors at both ends of the ribbon cable connection, I could plug in ribbon cables of different lengths to fit each different design more optimally.
If there were an auxiliary 2-pin connector for a remote switch somewhere on the module, I could more easily wire it to work with a pushbutton, slide switch, photo-sensitive switch, etc.
I'd also like to see a potentiometer or dipswitch allowing me to adjust the speed of the animation and/or length of the "on" cycle if necessary.
