Detailed Buying Lead Description
I'd like to buy a few hundred thousand devices described below (in OEM
configuration, maybe even only PCBs without cases and power supplies,
but preferably - full package). I'm looking for bidders with the
lowest price.
The device is a simple managed Ethernet 100Base-TX switch with VLAN
support. Plastic case with one WAN connector, four LAN connectors,
status LEDs on them and an external DC power supply. On startup it
requests its parameters from the DHCP server using DCHP options 60,
82, 128. There are two modes (controlled by DHCP server's data):
either a regular switch - with no VLAN support and no extra features
(in this mode all LAN connectors should be within one broadcast
domain) - or VLAN mode: sending packets tagged as VLAN1, VLAN2, VLAN3
from WAN to appropriate LAN connectors only and, of course, back. It
should respond to pings from WAN (using IP address assigned by DHCP).
