. Surface Quality
|
Uniform mill finish and free from all surface defects such as scratches, corrosion, Casting defects, Holes, Streaks, Brown Stain, Line marks, chatter mark and any other defect detrimental for the end use. |
. Build Up
|
Tight, slit edge quality free from edge cracks. Layer to layer shift of not more that 1 mm, total shift not more than 3 mm. |
. Edge quality
|
Edge will be slit and will be free from slitting burr, edge crack and perforated edges. |

. Mode of Packing
|
All coils should be packed suitable for sea and road transport and should have no transit damage due to improper packing. To put silica gel in all coils to avoid corrosion due to moisture during transit. |

Test certificates should be sent along with the material. |
. Performance
|
The foil stock should able to give A) Perforation free rolling upto 12-micron foil and maximum 20 pinhole counts when Rolled to 9 micron. |

It is PG Foils responsibility to inspect the coils during rewinding and should any defect be detected they shall withhold processing of the coils and lodge a complaint giving all relevant details and sample (as applicable) for supplier investigation. However foil stock after processing having low bursting strength, corrosion, high No. of perforation converted to any foil specification will be returned to supplier after rolling and on processing intermediate / pre finishing / finishing passed and which are not acceptable for further processing / end use mainly coming from incorrect foil stock. Foil stock rolled down to 12 micron thickness in pack rolling process, having perforation cause from foils stock defects will be returned back to supplier in rolled / bailed condition. |
