It is a polyethylene based masterbatch containing 10% by weight of triclosan, an organic antibacterial agent.

It is suitable for use in a broad variety of polyethylene applications, whether injection moulding, extrusion or film,  to impart biostatic and biocidal properties at the material surface with a minimal impact on material clarity.

Typical addition rates would be 1.0 to 3.0%, but are dependent on the exact application and the precise antimicrobial effect desired.
