UHF RFID Reader

We are looking for a low-cost/high-volume system for customers building an asset tracking solution. We will order an initial 50 units and hope to order at least 100 units per month.

Our goal is to offer a package with an RFID Reader and tags for a target price of $399 which means we need a reader FOB: Asia for about $160. This reader would be integrated into our Nox system which is deployed throughout the US market.

Ideally our reader would be:
Critical:
- UHF Gen2
- Integrated antenna / reader
- Fan-less 24x7 operation in up to 104F operating conditions.
- Respectable operation - 150+ tags per second. Good antenna gain and control (4W ERP in cone). 40'+ 'tuned' range on a Avery Dennison AD223 or Alien Higgs3.
- US FCC and UL certified -- we can work with you on getting certs if everything else is functional.

Less important but important enough to mention as all of these items are useful and would be part of a better solution:
- TCP/IP interface
- IP-rated -- IP68 being ultimate for outdoor installation
- VESA mount holes
- External slave antenna option for increasing read area. (at < $200 per reader, this is less critical but would be a nice addition)
- Wi-Fi option
- PoE option
- Intel (now Impinj) R1000 Chip because it's a solid performer.
- Internal triggers for a serial open/close (e.g. light switch on/off)
