It works on 9V DC battery , Accuracy 0.5%   It has a backlight  LCD display which helps to take reading in dark atmosphere .  The displays Lights for about five seconds then automatically turns off . It gives calculation of area and volume  based on the data measured . It also has addition and subtraction function. It has 3 memories which are useful to measure the length , the width and the height of room . It will display Error if the distance to be measured is too long or too short .
