The Merlin XUA-1 is a light and portable ExpressCard to USB converter that permits customers to use Novatel Wireless Broadband ExpressCards, which include the Merlin XU870, V640 and V740, in computers that do not have ExpressCard slots but do have USB port access.

This USB adapter makes Novatel's ExpressCards versatile in that they can be used both in laptops and desktop computers. Carriers benefit by enabling the end-user greater use of the mobile broadband cards thus increased data ARPU
