Chalan Hat's

This Peruvian Tipical Hat is handmade knit with straw in the ancient zones where the craftman used to made it 400 years ago like Cajamarca or Trujillo for example or made by the craftman's sons in the capital. Chalanes, riders of the Peruvian Step Horse, use to wear the finest hats since the begining of the tradition to they long ride across the peruvian desert coast.

Also this hat (long wing) is use to dance a tipical peruvian dance call Marinera, the dancers try to imitate the flirt between the chicken(female) and the roaster.

This hat is still use in a lot of places across the country and in the World Championship of the Peruvian Step Horse celebrate every April in the Hacienda Mamacona Lur�n Lima-Per�.

You can use it in every ocasion, is very light and soft!!!
