DSP (Di Sodium Phosphate)  Anhydrous / Dodecahydrate

Properties: colorless monoclinic crystal or white powder, specific gravity: 1.52; soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol and its aqueous solution is of slightly alkaline. PH(1% aqueous solution): 8.8-9.2; Melt and loss five crystal water at 35.1 , easy weathering in air, loss about five crystal water to form heptahydrate when stored in air under normal temperature, loss all crystal water to form anhydrous product when heated to 100 , decompose to sodium pyrophosphate at 250 , to produce white powdery dihydrated disodium hydrogen phosphate if carefully dried under the temperature lower than 34.

Use: As sequestrant, emulsifier and buffer in foods. As mordant in dyeing; for weighting silk; in manufacture of enamels, ceramics, detergents, boiler chemicals; as fireproofing agent; in soldering and brazing instead of borax; as reagent and buffer in analytical chemistry.
