Detailed Product Description

Water glycol fire resistant hydraulic fluid formulated specifically for end users who require a phenol response level of less than 100 parts per billion (PPB) . By specially selecting raw materials to achieve a phenol response level of 60 PPB maximum while maintaining excellent lubricity, shear stability, rust protection and corrosion resistance. Conforms to ASTM D-2882 and is factory mutual approved.

Benefits:

(i) Exceptionally low Phenol response levels (<60PPB) for ease of disposal.

(ii) Excellent rust and corrosion protection which eliminates down time and wear on the system.

(iii) Factory mutual approval which enables fluid to be used in critical operations.

(iv) Conformance of ASTM D-2882 which enables fluid to be used in demanding operations without fear of excessive pump wear.

Applications:

Designed for use in high pressure applications where fire resistance, performance to local waste treatment regulations and good pump life are required, especially well suited for die casters, foundries, steel mills and mines.

Fluid Compatibilities: Compatible with most kinds of pumps including vane, piston and gear type units, safe to use with most packing and seals except polyurethane and silicone. Cork shaft seals should be replaced with Buna N or other synthetic rubber. Leather packing should be avoided; zinc or cadmium plated components should not be used this product.

Care and Maintenance: To keep operating at maximum performance levels, periodic monitoring should be conducted. Percent water level and alkalinity should routinely check to eliminate problems with fire resistance, viscosity variations or rust. Water content can be determined with the use of a refractometer or the Karl Fisher titration procedure. Alkalinity testing should be determined by titration.
