This is a "Throbbing Engraver" which is totally different than the "Rotary Engraver" since its tip does not rotate, it Throbs back and forth, resulting in minute cracks in the glass surface. It has a depth adjustment knob (on top) to enable your control of the throbbing distance. This art tool can be also used to engrave on a variety of other surfaces such as copper and other metal surfaces and Ceramic.
