The EVAC-U8 has been ¡°over designed¡± to ensure ease of use and incredible functionality. To that end, it is brightly coloured and has a glow in the dark bottom. The hood itself is made of translucent Kapton (made by Dupont) which resists 800F temperatures, protecting from transient flame with excellent visibility and hearing. It also protects against carbon monoxide and many other toxic gases.
