Oromed Health Care

In 1997 the MD of Oromed UK Ltd, who is an experienced designer and development engineer, suffering himself from back problems was determined to design a bed which would maintain the backbone and therefore the whole body in an unstressed position during sleep.
He set out on this task by evaluating all the beds then on the market and discussing the issues with key clinicians, university professors,
Physiotherapists, tissue viability therapists and healthcare carers, with the end result being the creation of the Oro sleep System. He was able to apply for patents which were granted world wide.
At the 31st International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva (April 2003) Ljubomir Gnjatovic was awarded a Gold Medal for the Design and Innovation of the Oro sleep System.
