In the 1960s, the door and window manufacturing plant was designed on the drawing boards and its location was to be Wloszczowa, a small town in the then Kieleckie province. A modern high-performance plant was thus conceptualized to provide modern wood joinery for the residential housing industry, which was flourishing back in the day.The concept became real in 1969. The production was launched on the then state of the art processing lines installed in spacious and well lit bays. The first trains loaded with doors and windows departed from the plant siding to eager consumers in the entire Poland.Apart from running export sales, Stolbud in those days would cover nearly one half of the domestic demands, and was breaking the production records year after year. Despite the political transformation of 1989, the Company held a strong market position. In 1990, a PVC window production plant was established under the name Izoterm in Pszczyna.In 2006, Boguslaw Wypychewicz took the ownership of Stolbud in Wloszczowa. He is the founder and major shareholder of ZPUE S.A., a company quoted and seated in Wloszczowa.The new owner began a profound restructuring of Stolbud by purchasing state of the art production lines for doors and windows, while extending the sales network and export operations. Having acquired Stolbud, Boguslaw Wypychewicz soon bought a local sawmill, which now provides first-class laminated wood for the manufacturing of doors and windows. To complement Stolbud's range, in 2013 the new owner bought Izoterm Pszczyna, a production plant specialized in PVC and aluminum windows. Now the facility is known as Stolbud Pszczyna S.A.
