On 15 / 06 / 1990, the factory was transfered to the Ministry of TranSBsport and Communication with the name of Ben Kien shipyard.
On 11 / 03 / 1993, Ben Kien became a State owned enterprise belonged to Union of shipbuilding yards (now Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group) .
