MASSIVE Union Pacific 4-8-8-4 articulated brass steam locomotive, ref. 126, Nr. 4004, produced in Tokyo, Japan years ago by Tenshodo for use on the two rail HO layouts of the day As the photos show, this amazing model has survived in near-mint condition with original and substantial- box and wood/paper packaging.After placing on track probably for the first time, loco test ran OK with operating light and typical early noisy mechanism powering all drivers. Will require lubrication if buyer intends to run routinely. Tenshodo on tender and loco; Beautiful factory-original paintHigh level of detail- as the box label states: Custom Built, Painted, Ready-to-runRivet detail on cab roof.No cab interior detail.Only defects of note: some minor loss of tender coal and loss of some specks of black paint on upper edge of trailing truck and nearby lower area below silver on same side.No paperwork.
