This battery charger using a MCU with 4 10-bit A/D and large size OTPROM. that makes it possible to detect and control the battery voltage, temperature, charging current, LED easily.
The battery is charging 500mS and stop 35mS. That makes the charging progress most effectively and battery package’s temperature rising lower.
Voltage Detecting Methods:
For NiMH / NiCd Batteries, The best way to judge if it been fully charged is to detect the Voltage Drop or so called minus delta voltage (-delta V). Charger even consider the (-delta V/delta t). 0 delta V. as well as Timer.
The most important point is: this charger measures the battery Voltage under non-charging period (illustrated refer to the picture above). That means the real voltage of the battery package.
