This silk embroidery wall art are 100% hand stitched with pure silk thread on silk fabrics from King Silk Art company.
Completely Handmade. Susho is created one stitch at a time, using tiny needles and naturally-dyed silk thread on pure silk canvases. The exquisite design of the patterns, vivid color combinations, and masterful craftsmanship of the ancient embroidery techniques make Susho a unique and stunning form of art.
Famous Chinese Imperial Art. Over 2000 years ago (two centuries before the birth of Christ), the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, who created the Great Wall of China and the Terracotta Army, designated 11 families as his official embroiderers. The Emperor placed the families in Suzhou to create all the imperial needlework, Susho. Until about 100 years ago, this silk artwork was only available to Chinese royalty. Even today Susho is little seen outside of China.
Valuable Susho. Due to the durability of natural silk, many ancient works of Susho have survived the centuries and can be found in museums all over the world. One of our most popular services is creating custom Susho, based on any photograph. The photo realistic quality of our techniques allows us to create unique reproductions of cherished memories, please contact King Silk Art for more information.
