The machine is based on the tamping principle, where the slug is formed in five gradual stages thus making it very formulation friendly. This principle ensures accurate filling with average weight variation below +/- 1% and individual weight variation below +/- 3% for most formulations. A precise dosing system allows for better yield.
We can also provide micro-dosing facility which is very unique. This means that you can fill partial doses of the drug in a capsule, for eg: 25 mg , 30 mg , 35 mg with a tolerance of +/- 3 mg. This is a very unique application and can be suited to your requirements by making special modifications on the dosing disc and tamping pistons.
Machine equipped to sense environmental conditions: Machine operates only in the range of temperature and Rh for which it is set. This ensure better control on weight variation, dusting and hence loss of yield. This is a powerful tool to monitor room conditions and imrove the reliability of the machine. The chances of slug sticking due to high temperature and humidity is eliminated due to this also avoiding manual intervention.
The machine is designed for faster changeover, low wear and easy maintenance. Changoever time from one capsule size to another can be done in a matter of one and a half hours.
cGMP: All contact parts are of Stainless Steel (SS316). These are polished to provide smooth surface for product contact parts which are easy to clean, inspect and swab in order to validate etc. The presence of screws in pharma-zone is minimized and noise level is within 80 dbA.
All cams and gear drives of the machine are made in-house from alloy steel hardened and ground to fine tolerance. We first do hardening and then cutting, which ensures that the stress is relieved after cutting using special CNC machines and processed in special heat treatment furnace in house for life long operation.
