Coolbit has carried out extensive test on our cooling fans. We do this to ensure the best possible quality of fans is used giving you our valued customer’s peace of mind.

Table shows highest allowable stator winding temperatures for long insulation life. Temperatures are total, starting with a maximum ambient of 40° C (104° F).
2. Coolbit motors have an added 10% more cooper winding than the standard fan motor. This helps keep the Fan Motor at a lower temperature making them a lot more durable and giving them a longer hassle free life.
3. Coolbit uses only the highest of quality bearing in our fan motors.
4. Due to the frequency variation Coolbit have added a temperature switch in the fan motor which will cut out if the fan temperature exceeds 105° C (221° F).
Coolbit has our Fan Motors in the suction mode (rather than the blower mode). We find this gives Coolbit Heat Exchangers an added advantage over our competitions.
Positives of a fan in Suction Mode
When in suction mode as all Coolbit Heat Exchanger are there are some significant advantages. All the air is flows through the oil cooler thus giving a more efficient cooler of the hydraulic oil/coolant. You will be able to see the air flow via the dust accumulation on the oil cooler. Also you will be able to clean it easier and know when to a lot easier.
Negatives of a fan in Blower mode
- When the fan is in a blowing mode it’s almost a natural air flow due to the short distance between the fan blades and oil cooler. Some of the air will rebound of the cooler, a smaller percentage gets through.
- Due to the close proximity of the fan and the oil cooler the air flow will only go through the oil cooler about the diameter of the fan blades.
- Dust is a normal problem, but in the blowing mode it is unseen due to it is between the fan/fan housing and the oil cooler. Harder to see if the oil flow is blocked and harder to clean.

All Coolbit oil coolers are tested.
- Air pressure tested to 12 Bar.
- Liquid pressure tested to 35 Bar.
Quality Control tests are also carried out on units in the manufacturing stage and in the assembly of the Heat Exchangers. Coolbit use our Cooling Performance Tester, Wind Tunnel Tester and Air – Tight/ Strength Testing Tank.
Coolbit oil cooler are made from only the best quality aluminium and then a process called Cold extrusion is carried out. Cold extrusion is done at room temperature or near room temperature. The advantages of this over hot extrusion are the lack of oxidation, producing a higher strength, closer tolerances and good surface finish for the product. This process makes the oil cooler air and watertight when formed and welded together.
