The instrument is used for in vivo/in vitro water migration in various materials - skin, hair,nail,textile,membrane integrity.
Currently, our technology is used mainly for human skin characterisation, including transepidermal water loss (TEWL) skin surface water loss (SSWL) and Franz cell membrane integrity testing. It also has potential for characterising water migration and uptake in materials as diverse as hair, nails, wound dressings, breathable fabrics and food packaging.
The instrument can be used succesfully for adults/children/animal measurements.
The measurements are not perturbed by the environment, the calibration can be done by the user, software updates can be downloaded for free from our website.
