Automatic Solar Cell Tabbing&String Machine ET800 3B

ET800-3B is a fully automatic machine for photovoltaic solar cells. This equipment is one of the first step in the production line and it’s one of the most important in the entire PV module production line.
The machine is available also with laser soldering system that is indicated also for lead free ribbon
Thanks to the high flexibility, the machine is suitable for all types of standard photovoltaic modules but also for BIPV modules.
The CTS (Combined tabber and stringer) ET800-3B has a soldering top speed of 800 cells/hour when producing strings of 10 cells of 156mm.

Aiming at breakages equal to 0% with solar cells getting thinner and thinner, Argus has developed and patented a new innovative soldering system by combining the traditional contact soldering, since always considered the highest quality of soldering with hot air. This special designed soldering system is optimized for the photovoltaic solar cells and permits to reach a very high quality soldering with more than 300N in peel test.
The ribbon is soldered on the entire cell serigraphy surface

Low breakage
A low breakage percentage makes the stringer machine faster and the entire pv module production line becomes more efficient.
Thanks to the careful design of the handling system and the introduction of hot air in soldering phase that heats up the entire cell surface and not only the points where the ribbon is positioned the mechanical stress created by different thermal dilatations is reduced. Electroluminescence, the only way of controlling micro cracks and quality soldering, confirms it. The thermal curve is, during the complete soldering process, gentle thanks to pre heating the cell and post heating of the string.
The outcome of above guarantees that the solar tabber and stringer machine ET800 works with a very low breakage percentage.
Vision system
Control of the borders, centring and orientation verifications are just some of the operations that can be performed by the vision system that can be installed in the stringer machine.

2 Bus Bar & 3 Bus Bar
The CTS ET800-3B is already designed to work with 2 or 3 bus bar photovoltaic solar cells. Thanks to a careful design, the change from 2 to 3 buss bar is done in less than half an hour. The solar stringer machine is already predisposed to manage 3 ribbon, so only small part need to be changed and then it is sufficient to select a new recipe and start to works.
