Green tea (non-fermented)
Green tea are the most widely harvested tea and without go through any fermentation processes. The non fermentation of the tea leaves yields high Vitamin C contents similar to the level of lemons. Green tea also contain less caffeine and have high antioxidant properties. The secret of green tea lies in the fact that it is rich in antioxidant sucatechin polyphenois, specifically epigallocatechin gallate, that fight cancer without any negative side effects. There are indications that drinking green tea also reduces cholesterol levels and may help to control blood clots. There are many kinds of of green tea including Crown Grade Dragon Well, Crown Grade Ming Chin Dragon Well, Special Grade Dragon Well, West Lake Yue Chin Dragon Well and Biluochun Tea.
Biluochun also known as Green Snail Spring. It comes from Suzhou City Taihu Lake Dongting mountain. The surface of Taihu Lake with thick fog. Because of growing the tea and fruit trees. Biluochun Tea has been very famous and has long history. The Emperor Kangxi visited Suzhou and named this tea as Biluochun. The Biluochun Tea is tight, curled up as the conch, white fluff evenly covered the edge.
Brewing and severing
Generally 3 grams of tea per 180 ml of water or about 1 tea spoon of Biluochun tea per cup should be used. Biluochun should be prepared with 80 to 85°C and steeped 1 minute.
