DESIGN FOR STRUCTURAL ASSEMBLY JOINTS
The design of silicone structural joints is prepared according to the general rules in construction area by designing experts. The basic designing rule of typical silicone structural joints includes:
The width of structural glue shall not be less than 6mm.
The depth of structural glue shall not be less than 6mm.
The width of structural glue shall be equal to or larger than its depth..
Structural joint must be filled fully with glue in normal way.
Structural joint cannot be moved during its solidification period.
The design in joint must assure that air can touch structural glue so that the glue will solidify. When silicone structural sealant is used to support permanent load, the designed load intensity is 6.9 KPa.
Note: Designing rule may be different for other specialized system. The suitable rule of this kind of system will change according to its particular design.
