Hand made Edmond Fitzgerald ship from wood approx. 16 inches in length.
You are viewing a hand crafted wooden ship model of the EDMUND FITZGERALD ore ship. You may recall the Gordon Lightfoot song that made this ship's demize even more famous with it's sinking in Lake Superior on November 10, 1975. This model is made of wood with metal railings. This could be generically suitable for use with N scale train layouts. We are not saying that this IS N scale because the actual Edmund Fitz was much larger. But with some imagination as a generic ship, it could work. Note that we've placed TWO N scale people on board showing one in a second close up photo(People not included with model). This way you can make your own decision. The model is approx. 16 inches in length. You have the option of removing the Edmund Fitzgerald decals quite easily if you wanted to rename the ship as you please even making it look like an oil tanker. Would make an awesome addition to an N gauge train layout's waterways system offloading cargo near a train yard. It also comes attached to a wooden base, but again, you should be able to detach that if you wanted to use this model in a diorama. As it is though, this would be a great collectible or gift for the person with interest in ship collecting(especially models made from wood), Great Lakes memorabilia, Edmond Fitzgerald collectibles and of course, shipwrecks!! Condition on this item is new.
