Asarigawaonsen,This hot springs village is located alongside the Asarigawa River
at the northern foot of Mt Asaridake.
Otaru City first succeeded in developing hot spring facilities in 1954, and since then this hot springs village has formed gradually. There are 10 hotels and inns and two bath facilities for day visitors. This place is considered to be an oasis of quiet by the people of Otaru, and the ski resorts and a golf course nearby add to its year-round appeal.
You could hit up Asari as a day trip from Sapporo or Otaru, or even Niseko if you had your own wheels. Asari is a low elevation ski resort, so it can be ideal to visit when the wind is too ferocious at nearby Kiroro, Sapporo Teine or Sapporo Kokusai.
Located near the seaside town of Otaru, the upper reaches of Asari Ski Resort provide spectacular views across the water.
