Empurau, which in Chinese name “Wang Bu Liao", is known as the most expensive fish at table. The price could be over USD 700 per kg in some restaurants. Because the fish thrive on 'Buah Kepayang', a type of fruit found by the river bank, Empurau has very unique and special taste compared to other fish. That is the reason why the Chinese call it "Wang Bu Liao", meaning the taste is unforgettable.
Now Emapurau is succesfully cutivated, and compared to the wild ones, the fish is more delicious because the wild ones are often collide against stones in the rushing stream, and the fish becomes hard. This phenominon does not appear on cultivated Empurau. And as the Empurau is cultivated by 'Buah Kepayang' frequently, it makes the taste maintain special and unforgettable.
