The chemical formula of STARLACTIN suture is (C2H2O2)m(C3H4O2)n. Clinical trials have shown that after two weeks, approximately 74% of STARLACTIN Suture initial strength remained. At four weeks, approximately 18% STARLACTIN Suture linear tensile strength remained. STARLACTIN - Polyglactin 910 Suture has been found to be inert, nonantigenic, nonpyrigenic and elicit only mild tissue reactivity during the absorption process. The absorption time for Polyglactin 910 Suture is 60 to 75 days. STARLACTIN - Polyglactin 910 Sutures are available violet and undyed.
