High intensity and naturally occuring low-calorie sweetener extracted from the leaves of Stevia Rebaudiana
Bertoni species and specially spray dried along with low DE malto dextrin syrup to achieve the straight and
narrow concentration of the active ingredient, Rebaudiosie A. The stevia sweetener packs a sweetness
wallop rarely seen in the natural world being six times sweeter than table sugar. It is a product of easy and
fast preparation, exceptional stability, wide shelf life and easy storage.
Ingredients: Extract of Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni leaves and low DE malto dextrin syrup obtained through corn starch conversion.
Nutritional Characteristics and Therapeutic Directions:
The stevia sweetener comes from the rebaudiana-type stevia
extract and has no bitter-like aftertaste at high, medium or low
concentrations. Some of the components of the stevia plant's
leaves are called steviol glycosides (Rebaudiosie A), which give
stevia its sweet taste, but yield no calories. These compounds are
about 300 times sweeter than sucrose and stevia ready-to-drink
sweetener about 6 times. They are heat-stable, pH-stable, and do
not ferment. They also do not induce a glycemic response when
ingested, making them attractive as natural sweeteners to
diabetics and others on carbohydrate-controlled diets.
Use and Application:
The stevia sweetener can be used in most food and beverages formulations without contributing calories.
