1. Introduction:

Max-seal 6002# Stone Materials Silicone Sealant is special suitable used for inartificial and artificial decorative stone material as calking, airproofing and waterproof etc. This silicone product is neutral cure silicone and no pollution for stone material. It has excellent adhesion to most porous surfaces such as marble, granite, brick, wood, cement and ceramics, etc. The product also has good cohesion to clean glass, copper, many plastics, painted surfaces, aluminum and galvanized steel.


2. Attention: The product is not certain to be used on all the surface of cement. If it should be used, it is necessary to take a test of materials repelling before application.

3. Condition Request:

The application should be in temperature of 5°C--40°C, and under the relative humidity 40%--80%. Too low temperature will reduce conglutination, because the sealant’s surface adhesion wetting reduces, and it can became frost ice on the low temperature’s material, which would affect the sealant’s conglutination. So, the standard using temperature is above 5°C. It has blight for the sealant in high temperature. As a result of high temperature, the sealant will be drooping and expedite solidify time` reduce using and repair time, at the same time, it will bring air bubble. If too low relative humidity could make the solidify speed change slowly, or if too high relative humidity could form congregation on surface of material, which would affect conglutination between the sealant and material.

  1. 5.     Clean Process:

l        All the material should be clean out, remove dust` dirt or other feculence.

l        The scour must be the solvent which was tested, if use IRA` MEK or XYLENE which didn’t demonstrate, the latter’s toxicity is stronger and the other two are better fitting.

l        Elementary clean method: First, use the wettish and undepilatory pure-cotton cloth to clean another clean cloth to clean the feculence before the solvent volatilization, it should not dry the solvent naturally, lest should feculence newly on the material.

l        For small and deep interface, it needs to clean at full tilt.

l        The material that was cleaned out should do with using lacquer, otherwise it should be cleaned out again. If cleaned surface exposed or in the feculence, it should be cleaned again.

l        It should be changed the white cloth, which was contaminative, and it should be raved about the impregnant from the container onto the clean cloth and it should not put the cloth into container, otherwise the clean impregnant will be contaminative, it will affect the result.

l        It due to all the cleanout liquid are the tinder and have toxicity, it should have good airiness condition` strictly prohibit fireworks when using them, and adopt necessary safe system.


6.     Sealant Construction Process:

Common request:

a)        Silicone sealant should be used in 5°C--40°C, this can bring the better effect

b)        It can stick on temporary protect adhesive tape when it’s necessary, if it use the bottom-gelatinise, it must before using the sealant

c)        Using the sealant should be continual, making the sealant form the columned pile out, sealant should pile out equally, make sure it full of sealant on the place where it need, avoid making the bubble.

d)        It must be decorate after using sealant, the common method is using the tools to make overflow sealant in the direction of interface, and then beauty the interface, make sure the interface contact equally, and then uncover all the temporary protect adhesive tape

e)        After 48 hours of using the sealant, the interface can’t have the big displacement, otherwise it will effect the result
