Thermoelectric Generating Modules (TGMs) operation is based on a phenomenon of direct conversion of heat flow into electromotive force.
If the two sides of a thermoelectric generating module are maintained at different temperatures thermocouples provide thermal electromotive force and TGM, being in an electric circuit, generate current and therefore electric power.
— utilization of waste heat at vehicles (automobiles, ships) engine;
— autonomic supply of energy to operation control devices of water boilers and disposal plants;
— cathodic protection of the oil and gas pipelines;
— conversion of natural heat resources — geothermal waters, etc. into electric energy;
— power supply of stand-alone low-power electronic devices (Energy Harvesting).
