The healing herbal liquor Thibarine from the North of Tunisia, with its sun drenched vinyards, wehre the Romans produced their wine. For more than 100 years Thibarine has been produced there.
The recipe was created by Dominican monks in Switzerland. Towards the end of the 19th
century these Dominican monks established a monastery in the Thibar region of Tunisia
and began with the production of the healing herb liquor Thibarine. Later the monastery
was given up, but the distillation of Thibarine was taker over by experts from the Western
world and continued in the old tradition.
In a process especially developed for Thibarine, wine of qualtity and many healing herbs are carefully distilled to produce this liquor. The quality wine and the valuable natural healing herbal extracts give Thibarine a special aromatic quality.
