1 Description For single core PVC or XLPE insulated or covered aerial cable without messenger or neutral conductor, the phase conductor may be AAC or AAAC or ACSR or Copper.
For more than one core PVC or XLPE insulated 7 conductor overhead wire and street lighting conductor are AAC with PVC insulation, and the messenger or neutral conductor is AAAC or ACSR with or without PVC(XLPE) insulation.
2 Operating Characteristics
Rated voltage: Up to and including 0.6/1(1.2)kV;
Max. permissible continuous operating temperature of speaker cable : 90oC(XLPE insulated), 70 oC (PE insulated), 70 oC (PVC insulated);
Max. temperature of long span 7 conductor overhead wire during short-circuit ( 5s max. duration) shall not exceed: 250oC(XLPE insulated), 130 oC (PE insulated), 160 oC (PVC insulated);
The ambient temperature under installation should not be lower than: -20 oC.
The bending radius of long span 7 conductor overhead wire is recommended as following:
When the diameter of cable is less than 25mm: not less than 4 times of the diameter of cable When the diameter of cable is not less than 25mm: not less than 6 times of the diameter of cable When the cable is used in alternative current system, the cable should be at least equal to the rated voltage of system; when long 7 conductor overhead wire is used in direct current system, the rated voltage of system should not greater than 1.5 times of the rated voltage of the cable.
3 Application PVC or XLPE insulated aerial cable as a new long span 7 conductor overhead wire used for overhead electric power transmission, extensively used in rebuilding of urban and forest region electrified wire netting. It improves the safety and reliance of electrified wire netting.
