Proanthocyanidin, PC for short, is a kind of Bioflavonoid mixture with special molecular structure. Its oligomer, oligoproanthocyanidin (OPC), is recognized as an effective natural antioxidant to scavenge free radicals in human body. It is generally red-brown powder, slightly odorous, astringent, soluble in water and most organic solvents. Studies have shown that Proanthocyanidins from blueberry leaf extract can prevent hepatitis C virus replication. It is a kind of Bioflavonoid with special molecular structure and is an effective natural antioxidant which can scavenge free radicals in human body. Usually grape seed extract or French coastal pine bark extract. Proanthocyanidin (grape seed extract) is a new type of highly effective antioxidant with strong in vivo activity. Experiments show that oligomeric proanthocyanidins OPC can resist free radical oxidation 50 times as much as vitamin E and 20 times as much as vitamin C, and absorb them quickly and completely.
