Meet the Happi; a traditional Japanese coat that is often worn at festivals (Matsuri). It is a lightweight, baggy sleeved, cotton coat which' history goes all the way back to the Edo period (1603 - 1868). Back then, not just festival participants and staff but also firemen wore the happi.
We have the possibility to add your own print on the back and on the black ribbon on the front. The kanji (Chinese character) on the picture below is often printed on the back. It is pronounced 'Matsuri`, translated 'Festival'. Your own custom print is also possible. Ask us for further information.

Nowadays the Happi is not only worn at festivals. Restaurant, bar or food-stand staff wear them, but it can also be used at cosplay events or carnival parties.
There are 2 different sizes; a large one (men/women) and a smaller one (kids/women).
The weight of the F size is about 265 grams.
The Happi is made in China, and production is closely observed by Japanese quality managers.
