Wind & Solar Complementary Intelligent Controller
MACsun wind &solar complementary controller is the intelligent controller which integrates the solar,wind energy control and output control, and the core part of the whole system. It can also impact and control the power consumption and the working lifetime of the street light head, solar panel and the battery. The quality of the controller can directly impact on the quality of the whole system.
The equipment can control the solar battery and the wind power generator and apply the intelligent charging for the battery at the same time with 2-line light-controlled direct current (DC) output, i.e. to automatically launch the DC output in night for lighting. One line of the DC output is light-controlled, i.e. to cut off the DC output in day and stop lighting; the other is time-controlled, i.e, to automatically turn off after a certain turn-on time. The equipment is provided with the 2-stage charging mode with PWM no-step unloading. When the power produced by the solar panel and wind power generator is more than the need of battery and inverter output, the controller system must release the surplus power through unloading. The general controller mode is to link with the whole unloading, when the battery is not fully charged, but the energy has been consumed by unloading and wasted. Some modes can link with unloading in steps, so the more stapes are, the better the controlling effect is, but there are only 2 or 3 steps, so the effect is not ideal. We adopt the PWM controller mode(Pulse width modulation) for no-step unloading, i.e. the over 1,000-step unloading. In the normal unloading case, it can ensure the battery voltage is always stabilized at the float-charging voltage point and only the surplus power is released for unloading. Therefore, the best battery charging characteristics can be guaranteed, which the electricity can be fully used and the service life of battery can be assured.
(3) operating instruction
After the Wind & Solar Complementary Generator system and each component of the PV module and the external circuit construction are fixed,connection and operation should be carried on according to the following orders:
1.Open the package to make sure that the equipments are not damaged because of transportation
2.Do use copper core electric cable with the length less than 1 meter,6 square millimeter, connect storage battery with"BATTERY"at the back panel. It is forbiddened to connect the battery reversely.
3.Connect the outlet line of the wind turbine with the "WIND INPTU" at the back panel.
4.Connect the solar panel with the"SOLAR INPUT"at the back panel.
5.Connect the LOAD with"DC OUTPUT",Connect “+”and“-1”if the load type is light-controlled output;Connect“+”with“-2”if the load type is time-controlled output.
6.If there is changing-over function,connect the main supply with "AC INPUT".
7.Move the switch to"RUN"position, then the wind turbine work normally. "BRAKE"
in the engine case provides the function to shut off the wind turbine manually.When the switch is in"BRAKE"position, the wind turbine is stopped..
When the indicator light“NIGHT ” is on: the controller detect the dark. If the battery is not in under-voltage condition, then direct-current output start. “LIGHT ADJUST"on the left side can adjust illumination when it is dark.
When the indicator light “UNDER VOLTAGE ” is on:the battery has a low voltage and with “overdischarging protection”, the system voltage is insufficient, output will stop, when voltage boosts at "over discharging recovery", the indicator light “undervoltage” will automatically extinguishes, output is allowed.
When the indicator light“CHARGE” is on: The system is on charge.
Time setting:time is to be set by setting the switch SW1 on the Circuit Board,on when there are 1,2,3,4switches stands for one hours,two hours,fours and eight hours respectively.Turn on the switch to "ON" position, two or two more switches are at on position means the hours will be added accordingly.
Light control point setting: to be set by adjusting the "LIGHT ADJUST" potentiometer.Counterclockwisely adjust it if high higher illuminance is needed;otherwise, clockwisely adjust it.
The intelligent wind and Solar complementary controller is applicable for the wind and solar PV power system,especially for the wind &solar street light system,which could convert the power effectively and provide the strong control function at the same time.
There are tow lines of DC output,one line is controlled by light,to douse the light according to the sunshine intensity;the other line is time-controlled line which can manually adjust the lighting time with 1-15 hours. The controller provide various protections,such as anti-recoil solar battery,reverse solar battery,overcharging battery ,over discharging battery ,reverse battery,open-circuit battery,automatic fan brake and manual brake. The main supply can be offered as per customers requirements,i.e. when the battery is over discharged,the equipment can automatically switch to the main supply to ensure the stability of the system power supply.
