The COM/FUG is a mobile pedestrian signal light for 230V mains power supply or 12V-battery operation. It consists of two zinc coated signal poles with two signals for car traffic and one signal for pedestrians, the control case and the push button are installed on each pole. This sturdy traffic light corresponds to all demands of German DIN VDE 0832 part 12 and RILSA 1992/G.
To cover all different demands, the following functions are integrated:
choice between operation on demand or fixed time mode
six time controlled programs
automatic switch off at night (completely dark or yellow blinking)
automatic switch-off over the weekend (completely dark or yellow blinking)
optional pedestrian demand confirmation through signal "signal coming"
optional radio operation
optional quartz crystal operation
optional counter for indication of status
optional adaptation with acoustic sound for the blind (orientation and release signal)
The following marks guarantee an operation without complication and lower costs:
double halogen lamps in the red chamber to avoid failure of red lamps
low energy consumption by lowering down the light intensity at darkness
it is recommended to install LED technology for battery operation
The burden bases can be protected against theft or vandalism by a safety bar. Programming is effected via the control panel, which consists of a membrane keyboard and a LCD display. Warning information and fault messages are displayed in plain text. A user-friendly menu system walks the user step by step through the programming operations. During all changes, the system remains in operation so that the flow of traffic is not impaired. Only after the conclusion of the reprogramming operations are the data accepted and- as long as the changes do not affect the basic configuration- accepted without transition periods. Depending on the equipment configuration, the possibility exists to operate the system by cable, radio control, or quartz-crystal control. The signal system takes over the pedestrian demands by means of push buttons which, due to their special construction, are secure against sabotage.
