vitamin D2(calciferol)

    Vitamin D2,also known as ergocalciferol,is achromatous acicular crystal or white crystalline powder.It is scentless and flavorless,easier to metamorphose when meets with light and air.VD2 is wondrously easy to dissolve in the chloroform,easy to dissolve in the ethanol,acetone, or aether,appreciably dissolved in the vegetal oil, and not be dissolved in the water.Meanwhile VD2 has a good ability to endure heat and the melting range is 115~118 centigrade.
