HYPEROX

Hydrogen Peroxide is a powerful, environmentally friendly oxidant used in bleaching, sterilization, and industrial chemistry. As a vanishing oxidant which leaves no residue, this non-toxic and easily applied liquid finds wide application. Hydrogen Peroxide produces Hyperox grades of pure hydrogen peroxide in Turkey.

Pulp and Paper

This industry is the largest worldwide user of hydrogen peroxide, driven by public pressure and legislation to remove chlorine from the bleaching process. Hyperox is particularly efficient for bleaching mechanical, recycled and non-wood fibers, as well as supporting other reagents in Kraft bleaching.

Textiles

Hydrogen peroxide is the bleaching agent of choice for natural cellulose and animal fibers. Cotton, wool and silk all benefit from the high whiteness and low fiber damage of a Hyperox bleach, coupled with a minimum of effluent problems.

Food, Cosmetic and Health

Current uses include aseptic packaging, food bleaching and preservation, microbial control, hair products and pharmaceuticals.

Water and Effluent

Hyperox is useful for swimming pool shock treatment, deodorizing and emergency river and lagoon restoration after effluent spills. Many water applications benefit from advanced oxidation technologies which combine hydrogen peroxide with ultraviolet radiation, ozone or metal catalysts. These form powerful hydroxyl radicals which effectively destroy taste and odor molecules in drinking water, colored dyes in textile effluents and a wide variety of organic pollutants.

Safety and Handling

Hydrogen peroxide is strong oxidizing agent. Active oxygen is liberated very slowly from pure, stabilized hydrogen peroxide but much more rapidly after gross contamination with metals, organics or alkalis. These properties require special precautions for safe handling and it is essential that users are familiar with these precautions or avail themselves of the services provided by Hydrogen Peroxide.
