Fine red wine from Piedmont-Italy.
Capra's Winery,
is a small, family-run winery,.
We have a rural background and we love to create drinkable wines. Elegant wines but which can be drunk by everyone.
The Mombaruzzo (Asti) area has always been a gifted one for wine-making. Here, in "Alto Monferrato", Capra winery uses ancient local traditions, that is the use of traditional grape varieties with particular care.
The grapes are cultivated using ancient Piedmont tradition and natural farming, in order to guarantee a genuine product for our customers.
Many producers use innovative wine-making systems, but there at Capra we carefully use traditional techniques, for example we use the classic method of long maceration on the peels for the wine fermentation and then only refinement in oak barrels.
With these traditional methods we can obtain a very good wine with a very interesting price.
Our Barbera d'Asti, is really "typical" of high Monferrato hills, because is made with simple and natural methods and its own quality is mainly due to the grape quality produced in this "terroir", not created by oenologists, with selected yeasts and intrusive technologies.
