Introduction
MetalCell is an electrical cell that generates electricity by absorbing oxygen in the air and oxidizing metallic magnesium electrode that is put in electrolyte.
Electricity is generated as the metal becomes consumed; when the metallic plates are totally used up, you just replace them with new ones and replenish either saltwater or seawater that will act as electrolyte so as for MetalCell to continue to generate electricity.
The product is a small generator that is portable for outdoor use. It hardly contaminates the environment and does not contain toxic substances.
The voltage generated is basically 6V and the firm power is 10W. It can be used for the operation of small electric appliances with USB power cables.

Characteristics Characteristics of MetalCell can be filtered down to the followings:
Energy density per weight is high.
When it is stored in dry sealed condition, there is no natural discharge of electricity, which can ensure long-term storage life.
It is safe because it does not use noxious electrolyte or harmful metals. Materials generated from electric reaction seldom causes environmental contamination.
Electric charging is conducted through replacement of metallic electrodes.
Electrolyte: salt water (its salt concentration is between 6% and 12%) is recommended. And seawater (its salt concentration is about 3%) can also be used.
Electrode: magnesium alloy (AZ91) Number of recharging: more than 10 times (also possible to obtain more times in good management) Electrodes are required to be cleaned after they are once used. Unless done so, it should be noted that metallic oxide may accumulate in the cell, which may cause the destruction of the cell.
MetalCells continuous power is 10W and instantaneous power is 20W. If there is a fan available outside, it is also possible to continue to use at 20W.
To have 12V or higher voltage If you want to use higher voltage, connect several MetalCells in a series. In case of connecting two MetalCells, you need a series connection cable (2/1SC). By doing so, you can operate such high-performance electronic products as PDA, laptop computer, LCD TV, and game machine. In connection to an electrical charger or DC-DC converter you can obtain more stable performances of the equipment.
CAUTION!
1.You are recommended not to use it in a closed place. There is a risk of fire due to hydrogen evolution.
2.Please do not use it near fire.
3.Please do not mix it with other cells without any proper charging or protection circuit.
4.Please be careful not to misplace connectors for anode and cathode.
5.Please pay attention not to suffer burns from electric shorts.
6.Please clean and keep it in dry place after use.
7.Please add corrosion resistance by applying such material as grease on the terminal contacts when it is kept in store after use.
8.Please do not scrape metallic oxide off the plates with a sharp or pointed stuff when cleaning them.
9.Please do not try to disassemble any other parts than are shown in the How to disassemble it section.
10.In case you use more than the allowable current (2A) for a long time, there is a possibility of the cell being deformed due to overheat. You are kindly advised to use an appliance at a lower current than such. It is permissible to use up to four USB-applicable devices.
