In the dry-pressing method of brick making, the clay is dried in a drum-dryer until its moisture content reaches 6-7%. Next a crusher is used to grind the clay into powder. In the final step, this powder is put into a toggle press, where the finished bricks are made. These pressed bricks do not require any further drying and are fed directly into the kiln right after pressing.
