IVERMECTIN 1% Injection

Ivermectin 1% is a breakthrough injectable parasticide solution.
Composition: Each ml contains 10mg of Ivermectin.

Mechanism of action:
Ivermectin injection paralyses and ultimately kills parasitic nematodes, arachnids and insects by a unique effect on the nervous systems of these parasites. Ivermectin injection contains ivermectin, a unique new chemical entity. Its convenience, broad spectrum efficacy and wide safety margin makes it an ideal product for parasite control in livestock. It effectively controls internal and external parasites that impair livestock health and productivity.
Indications: Ivermectin injection is an Endectocide which is used as internal and external paraciticide in Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Pigs, Camels, dogs and Cats.
It is used for the treatment and control of the following:
-Gastro-intestinal nematodes (adult and immature): Haemonchus, Bunostomum, Cooperia, Nematodirus, Trichostrongylus, Strongyloides, Oesophagostomum Trichuris, Ostertagia,
-Lung worms: Dictyocaulus, Protostrongylus (adult & immature),
-Mange mites: Sarcoptes, Psoroptes, Chorioptes,
-Nasal bot: Oestrus ovis (larval stage)
-Warble flies: Hypoderma,
-Suckling Lice: Linognathus, Haematopinus, Solenoptes.

Dosage and Administration: It is given by subcutaneous injection.
The dosage in Cattle and Camels is 1ml/50kg body weight, Sheep and Goats is 0.5ml/25 kg body weight, and the preferred injection site is the soft and elastic skin areas as those located around the shoulder.
The dosage in Pigs is 0.3ml/10kg body weight and the injection site is behind the ear.
In Dogs and Cats, adjust the dose according to weight or as per the recommended doctor's prescription.
Side effects: Transitory discomfort and mild and transient pain reactions has been observed in some animals following the subcutaneous administration.
A low incidence of soft tissue swelling at the injection site has been observed, but this will disappear without further treatment
Withdrawal period: Meat: 28days, Milk: 7days
Storage: Store in a well-closed container at a dry place and protect from direct sunlight.
Presentations: 100ml, 50ml, 20ml or 10ml/vial
Contraindications and Warnings:
Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly,
Do not use in animals known to be hypersensitive to the active ingredient,
Drug containers and any residual contents should be disposed off safely,
Keep the antiseptic procedures carefully,
Keep out of reach of children.
