AN-220BT/BTS is an 8-bit Arcnet board with high performance; it supports four wiring topologies: coaxial star, coaxial bus, twisted-pair star and twisted-pair bus (AN-220BTS supports two wiring topologies: coaxial star, twisted-pair star) . Users may select any one of these topologies by jumper and DIP switch setting. The board is equipped with two UTP RJ-11 modular jacks and one coaxial BNC connector to simplify installation. The board is designed to a token-passing protocol providing predictable response times because each network event occurs within a predetermined time interval, based upon the number of nodes on the network. The deterministic nature of Arcnet is essential in real time applications.
