AQUION

PURPOSE

"Aquion" glass-ionomer water-cured cement is used:
- for filling cavities of the 1st and the 2nd classes;
- for filling milk teeth (all cavity classes);
- for filling cavities of the 5th class (when esthetic requirement doesnt been as priority);
- for treating non-caries affections of hard tissues (wedge-shaped defects, enamel erosion);
- for temporary filling;
- for modeling tooth stump to be crowned;
- for lining when filling with composites and amalgams;
- for fissure hermetization.

FEATURES

"Aquion" glass-ionomer water-cured cement contains fluoroaluminum glass and polyacrylic acid. It is mixed with distilled water resulting the obtainment of filling cement featuring rapid hardening and good adhesion to enamel and dentine.

The material features high bio-compatibility with tooth tissues, high stability, low solubility and long anti-carious effect due to fluorine ions release. It meets the requirements of GOST R 51744.

"Aquion" powder has one shade of those according to VITA scale: A2, A3, B2, C2.

The material is used as follows:
1. For applying isolating pad: the standard powder to liquid ratio is 4,4:1. Working time is 2-2,5 minutes at temperature 18-23°C and 45-55% humidity. Higher temperature shortens working time. Hardening time is 5,0-5,5 minutes.
2. For filling: the standard powder to liquid ratio is 6,6:1. Working time is 1,5-2,0 minutes at temperature 18-23°C and 45-50% humidity. Higher temperature shortens working time. Hardening time is 4-4,5 minutes.
